READY STEADY PRINT. My new screen-printing kit arrived! Its was a happy moment for me. My new screen-printing kit arrived! It was a happy moment for me. I have wanted to get screen-printing for a while now as i think it's going be the perfect finish to any of the fabric creation that i am busy with at the moment. Nothing quite like a home made something with an original homemade print complete with the lovely little discrepancies that add character and charm.
After much child like ripping at the packaging and many ooohs and ahhhs later i got stuck into making my very first design and template. A few days later i met up with a friend and together we turned her lounge into a make shift printing studio. Rolled back the carpets just incase…filled the teapot, lock the curious cats out, rolled up our sleeves and got stuck in. These are our first attempts.
MARKET TO MARKET
Yesterday, on a perfect mild sunday i had my first ever market stall. i took all that i have been busy with over the last couple of weeks down to a hidden lane in the west end of glasgow and set up shop. The markets were being held in this lovely cafe called the HIDDEN LANE TEAROOM the tearooms were the perfect back drop for a lovely day spent sipping tea from delicate china tea cups and nibbling on what seemed like an endless supply of tasty cupcakes! A perfect sunday. It was very exciting to finally be doing it after many years of much talk and not a lot of action on my behalf. It was nice to see my little creations meet the world. I think the two gotta long smashingly and the future is bright!
